What Is Celebration Books?
Celebration Books, formerly The Birthday Book Club, is a library donation program that was started at Cotswold in 1994 to help subsidize the needs of the Media Center. Be it for a birthday, staff appreciation, anniversary, holiday gift etc., you can honor a student, a favorite teacher or staff member, and or a beloved friend or family member.
Over the years and with the help of our generous families we have added more than 900 books to our media center. We hope to continue the tradition this year by adding 75 books to our shelves.
How Does It Work?
In conjunction with the PTA and library administration, program goals have been determined and a list of titles that represent the broad interests and reading levels of our students has been created. These books also align with our IB curriculum.
To make a donation or to purchase a book from our wish list, click here. Student honorees will be recognized on a monthly basis and pulled from class to check their book out for the FIRST time. Additionally, a bookplate will recognize your honoree for years to come.
If you do not have a special person to honor, but would like to contribute to the Media Center you can make a general monetary donation on the website. 100% of all donations go toward the library.
Cotswold students have a love of reading and a wide range of interests. A major resource for the books they crave is the school’s Media Center. Many books are highly sought after and heavily worn. Often times students are put on waitlists sometimes for months at a time before they can check out a popular book for themselves.
Please consider helping us stock our shelves with the books our students love! If you have questions or trouble ordering through the website please contact Petra Wolff, Celebration Books Committee Chair.
Thank you for your support!
