We have the unique opportunity to partner with CMS, E2D and Google Fibre to host Lemonade Stands around the neighborhood in support of bringing Digital Technology to schools (including ours) throughout the county.
In summary, the E2D team is dedicated to getting technology into the hands of students who can’t normally afford access to in home technology (laptops, iPads, for example). This was started by a Davidson Middle School student who noticed her peers could not complete their assignments because of a lack of technology in the family home. Fast forward to today and the group has expanded to all of CMS and is working to accommodate over 24,000 families in need.
On Saturday, May 7, from 9 to 12pm, our students will be hosting various lemonade stands all over the neighborhood. The lemonade is free; it is simply a donation-based fundraiser where 100% goes back into CMS schools. We’d love to have participation through out the Cotswold Community! Our community partner sponsors are hosting a few stands as well as a number of businesses around down. Helping out is easy….You can host a stand in your neighborhood, meet up with a few other families to host a stand or simply donate supplies such as cups, lemonade, coolers, tables. etc…or just visit a stand at the Cotswold Farmer’s Market or the Improper Pig that morning.
