IPads, cellphones, apps, Facebook, google…there’s many wonderful things about digital technology, but if you child doesn’t use it properly, it can lead to attention issues, disconnection, secrecy, bad grades, and more.
It doesn’t matter if your children are toddlers or teenagers: Digital Technology is effecting their life, and it’s here to stay.
And whether you like it or not, as a parent you must be equipped with knowledge about what your kids are actually doing online and tools on how to guide them to use technology responsibly.
That’s why – as we mentioned a few days ago – we are _thrilled_ that this year’s Joined in Education is designed to educate you with what you need to know about this vital topic!

The JIE Evening Event will be taking place on February 3rd at Providence Day School, and the workshops will be taking place on February 4th at Shalom Park.
We are proud to have as our keynote speaker Catherine Steiner-Adair, author of _The Big Disconnect: Protecting Childhood and Family Relationships In the Digital Age.
Dr. Steiner-Adair examines ways in which technology and media change how children learn and grow, and shows parents how to balance the benefits of tech while reducing the risks it poses at every stage of development. She identifies digital age challenges for parents and educators, and ways to strengthen children’s social and emotional development to help them grow to be responsible, resilient, confident, and capable young adults.
WE RECOMMEND THIS EVENT FOR EVERY SINGLE PARENT IN OUR COMMUNITY–BECAUSE IT IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT EVERY PARENT SHOULD HAVE.
