Cotswold’s School Leadership Team (SLT) is a group of parents, staff members and administration who work together to support the goals and objectives identified in Cotswold’s School Improvement Plan. At the October meeting, SLT welcomed Eric Davis, our elected School Board representative, who educated us on the Sales Tax Referendum that will be on the ballot in next week’s election. SLT members also identified 3 key initiatives for this school year. They are:
- The Achieve 225 grant received by our school this year designed to increase students’ physical activity levels,
- Class Clustering, which is mixed ability grouping used by staff and administration to build classrooms, and
- Next Steps/Ron Clark Committee which is a revision and enhancement of Cotswold’s discipline policy.
These three strategies directly relate to goals in the School Improvement Plan. SLT will work with staff and administration throughout this school year to provide support, parent feedback, data and communication regarding these initiatives.
