We had a special visitor in Cougar Country today!
Adam Dovico visited Cotswold as a Professional Development opportunity for our teachers. He modeled and taught lessons for our staff today. The staff and students were extremely excited! Mr. Dovico is a National Board Certified teacher and earned a degree in Elementary Education from Wake Forest University and a Masters of Education from Appalachian State University. He taught in Winston-Salem and Charlotte, North Carolina, before teaching several subjects at The Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, GA. His excellence as a teacher was recognized by his colleagues at The Ron Clark Academy and now thousands of educators from around the world have observed Mr. Dovico in his classroom and participated in his interactive workshops. He has been recognized as a Teacher of the Year, a Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund honoree, and a Teaching Tolerance grant recipient. Mr. Dovico was the Director of School Implementation for The Ron Clark Academy and is responsible for conducting on-site training and professional development around the country. Mr. Dovico is currently a clinical professor in the School of Education at Wake Forest University.
