When: Wednesday, May 9 2012
Where: From four (4) Walk to School start points
Why: To participate in the first-ever National Ride to School Day
Who: YOU, of course!
May is National Bike Month, and what a better way to celebrate than to be a part of the first-ever National Bike to School Day! Find a new way to get to school! Gain more confidence in your bike riding ability! Learn how to use your bike for transportation AND fun!
We’ll meet up Wednesday, May 9 at the usual Walk to School sites: Naomi Drenan Rec Center, Linda Lane at Walker, Unitarian Universalist Church, and Providence Baptist Church. (See attached map) From there we’ll ride TO school as a group. If you think you live too far to ride all the way, have a parent or caregiver drop off you and your bike at one of the sites to ride in with the group. You must know how to ride a bike and you MUST have a helmet. If you regularly ride to school anyway, great! Ride in Wednesday and be counted among the students all over the country who’ll do the same!
