Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will hold six community meetings next month to get YOUR input on its superintendent search. The meetings will be held on Dec. 5th, 6th and 8th at locations across the county. Attendees will meet in structured, small group sessions to discuss criteria for the next superintendent. Note: There are two (2) meetings on each night.
The meetings will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the following dates and locations:
Dec. 5: Johnson C. Smith University AND Butler High (1810 Matthews-Mint Hill Road)
Dec. 6: Myers Park High (2400 Colony Rd.) AND Albemarle Road Middle (6900 Democracy Dr.)
Dec. 8: Vance High (7600 IBM Dr.), AND North Mecklenburg High (11201 Old Statesville Rd.)
The meetings follow online surveys of community members and students about the search. The district is looking for a permanent replacement for Peter Gorman, who left CMS this summer. Hugh Hattabaugh is serving as interim superintendent.
